Design
A remodel or addition is an opportunity to enhance or expand your living space and to create a home that you love to live in.
Why are most basement finishes drab and dark? Usually because they were finished with only one consideration in mind, “how cheap can I do it?” Unless of course, SBCH did the design and finish. We consider cost at every turn, however it is not our only consideration.Expecially in todays world beware of too low of a price.
Your needs, and what is most often overlooked, the impact on resale value of your home, are considered equally with the initial cost. SBCH looks at the entire project, not just preparing a low bid that gets us into your home.
No matter who you hire, preoccupation with just getting a low bid is flirting with disaster. SBCH will always have a completive bid that provides great value. We know that in construction you get what you pay for. Price is a critical element, but only one of many.
SBCH provides you assistance in designing your space based upon how you will use it. Do you like lots of light? Are you adding space for a growing family? Are Mom or Dad moving in, Where do you and your family spend time? These are examples of the in-depth attention to detail you acquire with SBCH.
Resale Value
SBCH understands that importance of resale value and the impact of the custom work that you incorporate into your home. By using SBCH, you gain guidance in maximizing the resale value of your home by exploring many options and by answering many questions such as: “Is it wise to convert a garage someone doesn’t use into a family room when they could add it onto the back instead?” SBCH recognizes that the resale of the home will be greater with the garage kept intact.
Getting Started
SBCH gets started by asking for your “shopping list.” What you would like to gain from the new space? What do you like about other homes? After you give us what you want, we get to work.
In most cases we provide three or more space-studies to show you the potential of your remodel or addition. You’ll be pleased with our use of space and surprised at just how much can be accomplished on budget.
There are no real limitations, only those that are self imposed.
